WHEELCHAIR USER DETECTION SYSTEM USING STEREO CAMERA

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair user detection system using a stereo camera, which is capable of stably detecting a wheelchair user without attaching special devices to a wheelchair and the wheelchair used while minimizing remodeling of a structure when installing the system.

SOLUTION: In the wheelchair user detection system using a stereo camera, whether or not an object detected within a monitor range of a stereo camera 1 is a wheelchair user 4 is discriminated depending on variation in height from a vertex of the object in a direction of a horizontal 5, on the basis of three-dimensional distance information obtained from the stereo camera 1.
