<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a software magnetic alloy containing fine crystals of nano-scale, and having the high saturated magnetic flux density, excellent soft magnetic characteristic, and especially excellent AC magnetic characteristic, and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The soft magnetic alloy manufacturing method comprises: a step of manufacturing an Fe-based alloy having a structure in which crystal grains having the mean grain size of ≤ 20 nm in an amorphous mother phase are dispersed with the mean crystalline intergranular distance of ≤ 50 nm by quenching a molten alloy containing Fe and metalloid elements; and a step of forming a structure in which crystal grains of the body-centered cubicle structure of the mean grain size of ≤ 50 nm are dispersed at ≥ 30% in terms of the volume fraction in an amorphous mother phase by heating the Fe-based alloy to perform the heat treatment.
