<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device capable of outputting light with high luminance at high efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting device includes a board (4), having a plain surface bearing a semiconductor light-emitting element (2); the semiconductor light-emitting element (2), placed on the plane surface of the board (4) and emitting a light that ranges from ultraviolet light to visible light; a first light transmittable layer (31), formed on the board (4) to cover the semiconductor light-emitting element (2); a fluorescent layer (32) which is formed on the first light transmittable layer (31), having ends reaching the plane surface of the board (4), and contains a fluorescent material and a base material; and a second light transmittable layer (33) formed on the fluorescent layer (32), and having ends reaching the plain surface of the board (4). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
