<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the capacity of a memory which stores data for correcting variations of luminance characteristics for each pixel in a video displaying device. <P>SOLUTION: A video displaying device 1, which displays videos from video signals, includes: a correcting data-storage means 13 which stores compressed data which are obtained by compressing correcting data for correcting luminance variations among display pixels by means of a prescribed data-compressing method; a video signal-correcting means 15 which corrects video signals from the compressed data stored in the correcting data-storage means and generates video signals to which luminance variations among display pixels are corrected; and a video-displaying means 18 which displays videos from the video signals to which the luminance variations among the display pixels are corrected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
