<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor capable of preventing a waterproofing function of a ventilation part from being deteriorated with the lapse of time, and which is superior in waterproof and gas through performance. <P>SOLUTION: This gas sensor 1 has a sensor element 10, a housing 11, an atmosphere side cover 2, a lead wire 13, and an elastic member 3. The elastic member 3 is provided with a vertical hole 14, formed axially and opened to a tip side, a lead insertion hole 313, and the first intermediate face 310 and the second intermediate face 320 in an axially intermediate portion 33. An annular ventilation filter 4 is held, under a pressed sandwiched condition between the first intermediate face 310 and the second intermediate face 320. The ventilation filter 4 is arranged under a condition of communicating with the vertical hole 314 and being exposed to an outer face of the elastic member 3. The atmosphere side cover 2 caulks the elastic member 3 radially inward at a portion of the base end side in the first intermediate face 310, caulks the elastic member 3 to compress from an axial direction, and is provided with an air inlet port 231. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
