<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive, small and stable ignition coil device for an internal combustion engine, preventing deterioration of reliability of an ignition coil. <P>SOLUTION: This ignition coil device for the internal combustion engine has a primary coil, a secondary coil, an iron core and a switching element. In the primary coil, on-off control of a primary electric current is performed by electronic control by the switching element. The secondary coil is electromagnetically coupled to the primary coil and supplies high voltage to an ignition plug. The ignition coil device for the internal combustion engine is further provided with an ignition primary connector for supplying a power source and ignition signals to the ignition coil.
