PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide mobile electronic equipment and an image/video display method that can display an image or video always in the correct direction by suitably inverting the image or video on a display upside down or horizontally without reference to the posture of the equipment as a display technique for displaying video etc., related to a TV broadcast on a small display. SOLUTION: The mobile electronic equipment A has at least one of a video display function and a still picture display function, and is equipped with a display direction inverting means A1 of inverting a display image to the display upside down or horizontally and an inversion display detecting means A2 of detecting whether the display image is displayed upside down or in a wrong right-left direction. When the inversion display detecting means detects inversion display of the display image, the display direction inverting means turns over or inverts the display image in the right-left direction.
