PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for a film, a sheet and a thin hollow container having excellent gas-barrier properties, transparency, hue and mechanical properties, comprising an aromatic polyester resin and a polyamide resin; and to provide a molded article and the like obtained by molding the composition. SOLUTION: The polyester resin composition is obtained by melt-kneading a polyamide resin composed of a constituent unit mainly derived from meta-xylylenediamine and adipic acid, and a polyester resin composed of a constituent unit mainly derived from an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and an aliphatic diol, and a polycarboxylic acid compound selected from specific aromatic or alicyclic compounds, in a specified ratio by a specific procedure.
