PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor device having less restrictions on material selection for a detecting part and dispensing with additional workings on the detecting part, and to provide a roller bearing device having a sensor. SOLUTION: This sensor device is equipped with an ultrasonic sensor, mounted on a fixed body for detecting an echo of an ultrasonic wave from the detecting part. The ultrasonic sensor 2 detects echo from the detecting part D, having a contact area elongated in a prescribed direction, and comprises a rectangular vibrator 2a, elongated in the longitudinal direction of the contact area with respect to a conventional circular vibrator 52a.
