PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce costs by obtaining a parameter to be set to an IC for driving a liquid crystal panel by the existing scaler and a microcomputer without using a dedicated IC (FPGA or the like) but by directing the attention to an input signal measuring function by the scaler of a liquid crystal projecting device. SOLUTION: As shown in Fig.2, the liquid crystal projecting device comprises: a video signal processing circuit for processing an input video signal by various operations; the scaler 31 which comprises the microcomputer to control this video signal processing circuit, light source, the liquid crystal panel, and the like, and receives the input video signal, its horizontal synchronizing signal, vertical synchronizing signal, clock, and the like as the video signal processing circuit to perform field angle translation of the input video signal; and a digital signal processing IC32 which is arranged in the latter stage of the scaler and performs signal processing such as digital gamma correction, and the microcomputer is provided with a calculating means which obtains the parameter to be set to the digital signal processing IC by calculating measured data using the input signal measuring function of the scaler.
