The connection has a casing (1) projecting from a tapping drill hole that is arranged on a pipe. The casing presses a sealing ring (10) with a front-sided edge (34), when the casing is forced in a direction of a wall flange (2) such that the ring is pressed against a wall of a hole (9) and against the pipe in a radial direction. The casing has cut sections in an axial direction. A clamping device is provided for pressing the casing at the pipe under reduction of its diameter.
