<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric element, which can improve operation properties by reducing the influence of the connection part of a wiring member to be connected with a piezoelectric element on the operation of the piezoelectric element, and a drive unit. <P>SOLUTION: This piezoelectric element 1 having a non-expansion part 15 not to expand nor contract, is equipped with electrodes 17 and 18 which are provided at the surface of an expansion part 13 to expand and contract extending to the surface position of the non-expansion part 15, and input terminals 11 and 12 which are connected to the electrodes 17 and 18 and provided in the position of the non-expansion part 15. It is prevented that a soldered section has an influence on the expansion and contraction of the expansion part 13 by a printed wiring board 88 being soldered to input terminals 11 and 12 in the position of the non-expansion part 15, whereby good operation properties can be obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
