<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device and an image forming method for realizing image formation of high precision by correcting an adhesion quantity of an image visualizing agent and a shift of the position while continuing to perform a printing process. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device comprises an intermediate transfer member with a region for forming a correction pattern image in a region outside a predetermined maximum region of a recording medium in the direction perpendicular to the moving direction, a detection part for detecting the correction pattern image in the position opposed to the correction pattern image in the intermediate transfer member, and a correction control part for correcting setting values of at least one of the charging unit, the exposure unit, and the developing unit when a region corresponding to an interval between the visible images formed on the photosensitive member is passing a position beneath the units, based on the detection results acquired by the detection part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
