<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device, a process cartridge and an image forming apparatus, in which fine multi-color images with more simple constitution can be formed by using an ETH phenomenon and the dispersion of fine particles can be prevented. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device is provided with a carrying member arranged oppositely to a latent image carrier and having a plurality of carrying electrodes for generating an electric field for moving fine particles, a voltage supply means for applying an n-phase (n is a positive integer ≥2) to the carrying electrodes, and a carrying member surface potential detection means for detecting surface potential on the carrying member to stick the fine particles to the surface of the latent image carrier and to develop a latent image. The voltage supply means in the developing device applies the n-phase voltage to the carrying electrodes so that the surface potential on the carrier member is included between the potential of an image part of the latent image carrier and the potential of a non-image part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
