RESIN COMPOSITION, HARD COAT AGENT AND HARD COAT FILM FOR INSERT MOLDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a film for insert molding, which has both good surface hardness (pencil hardness and scratch resistance) and good flexibility (bending property). SOLUTION: Organic micro particles of 1-50 pts.wt. with an average primary particle diameter of 80-500 nm are added to a (meth)acrylate prepolymer having a triazine ring which is synthesized by one step process from an amino triazine compound, paraformaldehyde and (meth)acrylate having a hydroxy group. The above prepared hard coat agent is applied on a transparent plastic film, dried and hardened to form a hard coat film. The resultant hard coat film for insert molding has a total light transmittance of at least 90%, a pencil hardness of the hard coat layer of at least 1H, excellent scratch resistance and a bending characteristic of less than 2R.
