PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support device for a vehicle, capable of giving a steering method easy to operate to a driver while dispensing with an anticipated steering input based on the driver's experience by superimposing a target traveling route with an actual forward traveling scheduled course on a screen of a display device to facilitate recognition of the relation between the both. SOLUTION: The driving support device for vehicle 10 comprises a head-up display device 14 for displaying traveling information of a vehicle 1 on a display portion 13A; a route guide setting part 76 for forming information for a target traveling route suitable for traveling of the vehicle; an anticipated traveling trace calculation part 73 for forming information for an anticipated traveling trace of the vehicle based on a behavior signal outputted from a vehicle state detection part 40; a first display control means 74 for displaying the target traveling route as a target travelable area 111 on a display screen; and a second display control means 74 for displaying the anticipated traveling trace 112 on the display screen.
