The method involves determining position and orientation of an operating capsule (110) by a positioning device (112), and producing a navigation magnetic field (111) by a magnetic coil system (100) based on the position and orientation to exert force on the capsule. A high-frequency (HF) signal (127) is transmitted by a HF transmission coil (124) and the coil is switched to remote-control operation by a communication control (66). Another magnetic field (8) is produced for remote-control of the capsule and the coil is switched back to transmission operation by the control. An independent claim is also included for a device for wireless remote-control of an operating capsule of a magnetic coil system.
