<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive device that prevents elastic deformation of the elastic body of each planetary roller without involving rotation of parts that do not need to be rotated. <P>SOLUTION: The drive device 1 comprises drive force transmitting units 3, clutch devices 4 and control sections 6. Each drive force transmission unit 3 is firmly pressed to the circumferential face of the rotating shaft of a corresponding motor 2 and includes: the plurality of planetary rollers 32 at least the parts of which are formed from the elastic bodies; a ring 33 whose internal peripheral face is in contact with the plurality of planetary rollers 32; a first carrier roller 34 rotated accompanying the rotation of the planetary rollers 32; and a first output shaft 35 that outputs the rotation of the first carrier roller 34. Each clutch device 4 connects the first output shaft 35 and the corresponding photoreceptor drum 71 rotated by the corresponding drive force transmitting unit 3 so that they can be disconnected. Each control section 6 exerts control so that the rotation of the corresponding first output shaft 35 cannot be transmitted to the corresponding photoreceptor drum 71, and also controls the rotation of the corresponding motor 2 so that the corresponding planetary rollers 32 rotate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
