<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent failure of recording and reproduction when reproduction from a recorder is started under such a state as a plurality of recording and reproducing operations are concentrated on that recorder. <P>SOLUTION: A management 60 registers the maximum allowable bit rate, the current write/read bit rate and the free space on a recorder management table 61 for every recorder 10<SB>1</SB>-10<SB>n</SB>and manages them. Upon receiving a reproduction start request from a read out section 40, 50, a control unit 70 calculates the degree of margin of bit rate by judging the reproduction source recorder with reference to the recorder management table 61. Reproduction of the read out section 40, 50 is permitted as it is when the degree of margin of bit rate of the reproduction source recorder is more than the threshold, otherwise recording place of a writing part under recording to the reproduction source recorder is altered to other recorder before reproduction of the read out section 40, 50 is permitted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
