<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser welding apparatus which can restart laser welding with an appropriate speed at a specific welding point even after a robot is suspended. <P>SOLUTION: The laser welding apparatus includes: a laser processing head 6 having a rotatable reflecting mirror 11 for changing an irradiation direction of laser means; the robot 1 for moving the laser processing head 6; and a controller 4 for determining a suspension position of the robot 1 at the reception of a signal when receiving the suspension signal for laser beams in order to interrupt laser welding, returning the position of the robot on the predetermined operation trajectory from the suspension position by a distance that the speed of the robot needs to reach the normal state or more, restarting the movement of the robot from the returned position, and restarting the laser output from the point where the robot reaches the suspension position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
