PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program processing method, a computer device and a data transferring device in a computer device for surely installing a driver program to be used for the connection time of various external connection devices in the case of connecting various external connection devices to a computer device in which basic software is operating with non-manager authority. SOLUTION: When the basic software of a computer device is operating with non-manager authority for regulating the installation of a driver program, a resident program having a driver program installation function with manager authority is started. When the external connection device is connected in such a status that the resident program is started, the driver program is installed by the resident program.
