PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce visual sense of incongruity caused by a change in a field angle depending on camera shake correction by changing previous margin in photographing motion pictures when the camera shake correction is enabled. SOLUTION: In the motion picture photographing mode, a video image (full field angle) formed on an imaging sensor (CCD, CMOS) 16 is first captured while a field angle is 100%, i.e. the previous margin is zero, and the video image is displayed on a display unit 25. When a motion picture photographing start operation is performed, a display unit 25 displays a cutout image while gradually decreasing a segmented field angel. When a user designates the level of camera shake correction using a key operating section 27, the segmented field angle is increased and decreased depending on the designated operation quantity, and the level of the camera shake correction is changed.
