PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a processing time of an image signal to be used as a one-frame image of a moving image. SOLUTION: When processing the image signal to be used as the one-frame image of the moving image, first of all, pixel values stored in a CCD element are read while being added in horizontal and vertical directions (S30). A first image processing circuit that is a hardware circuit, performs RGB color interpolation processing, resizing and YCC conversion processing on a read image signal and it is then temporarily stored in an internal memory (S32, S34). A second image processing chip reads and expands the image signal stored in the internal memory, in a memory space. Comparatively complicated image processing such as defective pixel correction processing is then performed on the image signal in a software manner (S36). Since a hardware-like process and a software-like process are separated, the number of times of memory expansion processing can be suppressed to a minimum and the processing time can be shortened.
