PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image sensing device capable of acquiring an excellent image in a wide dynamic range. SOLUTION: The image sensing device has an extinction device 11 periodically changing the intensity of light which reaches an image sensing element 13. The extinction device 11 has an optical filter 31, an iris section 32, a rotating shaft 33 and a motor 35. In the optical filter 31, a plurality of regions having the different transmittances of the light are formed, and the optical filter 31 is rotated continuously at every fixed angle by the motor 35. Consequently, the regions having the different transmittances of the optical filter 31 are placed periodically in the opening 32a of the iris section 32, the light which reaches the image sensing element 13 for the image sensing device can be varied periodically and the images of a subject in exposures in different extents can be obtained.
