PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain estimation precision for spatial angular distribution without being affected by arrangement of a plurality of antenna elements constituting an array antenna. SOLUTION: The receiver comprises a correlation matrix calculation circuit 121 which acquires correlation among N pieces of reception signals received by an array antenna to calculate a correlation matrix having N<SP>2</SP>pieces of elements; an eigenvalue resolution circuit 131 which resolutes the correlation matrix for eigenvalue to calculate an eigenvalue of array antenna element number (N pieces), and an eigenvector corresponding to the eigenvalue; an incoming direction estimator 141 for calculating incoming direction from the eigenvalue and eigenvector; and a spatial angular distribution estimator 151 which calculates spatial angular distribution from a specified spatial angular distribution function, based on the eigenvalue and incoming direction. The spatial angular distribution function is a function for providing spatial angular distribution, with the incoming direction and the value based on the eigenvalue of correlation matrix related to the reception signals of the array antenna being variables.
