PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and speedily vary a transmission wavelength of a VIPA plate. SOLUTION: The spectrometer is equipped with: an optical component 110 which has two reflection surfaces being parallel to each other and opposite to each other, and in which light condensed in a one-dimensional direction is made incident between the respective reflection surfaces, the incident light is multiply reflected on the respective reflection surfaces, a portion thereof is transmitted through one of the reflection surfaces and emitted, and beams of light with advancing directions different from one another corresponding to the wavelengths are formed by interference of the emitted light; and a rotation mechanism 2 to rotate and displace the posture of the optical component with respect to an axis substantially vertical to an optic axis of the incident light and substantially vertical to the one-dimensional direction into which the incident light is condensed.
