PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens holder capable of securely preventing image quality degradation and unsatisfactory appearance, caused by extrusion of the resin material of a composite type aspherical lens, while restraining a cost increase and saving space, and to provide optical equipment. SOLUTION: The lens holder includes: the composite type aspherical lens formed such that a resin layer is firmly fixed to at least one side of a glass member; and a lens holding frame in which the composite aspherial lens is inserted such that the resin layer is oriented in the direction of the opening made in one end of the lens holding frame and the deformable portion of the circumferential edge of the opening of the end is plastically deformed to fix the composite type aspherical lens. The inside diameter of the deformable portion after the plastic deformation is smaller than the outside diameter of the resin layer of the composite aspherical lens. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
