PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To vary a damping force in a piston speed area of extremely low speed so as to improve operation stability and riding comfort of a vehicle, in a damping force adjusting damper. SOLUTION: In the damping force adjusting damper 10, in which a piston 33 attached to a piston rod 13 is slidably inserted into a cylinder 12 and a damping force adjusting device 60 for suppressing extension/contraction of the piston rod 13 is provided. The damping force adjusting device 60 can adjust the damping force only in the extremely low speed area wherein the piston speed is 0.05 m/s or lower. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
