PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress wheel load change generated when a height adjusting valve tends to independently keep the height of an air spring by conventional mechanical control, without requiring electronic control. SOLUTION: In the height adjusting device of the air spring for the rolling stock is equipped with two height adjusting valves 4a to 4d, 11a to 11d respectively on the air springs 3a to 3d. The first height adjusting valves 4a to 4d carry out air supply/exhaust of the air springs 3a to 3d wherein the height adjusting valves 4a to 4a are installed according to rotation angles of a working shafts 4aa to 4da. The second height adjusting valves 11a to 11d carry out the other air springs on the same side in a vehicle width direction as the air springs 3a to 3d wherein the height adjusting valves 11a to 11d are installed according to the rotation angles of working shafts 11aa to 11da and on the fore-and-aft opposite side to a vehicle's traveling direction.
