PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing program and an image processing device capable of carrying out Retinex processing at high speed. SOLUTION: A peripheral average luminance image obtaining peripheral average luminance on each pixel of a reduced image is obtained. This processing is computed by carrying out convolution of a coefficient of a filer prepared using a Gaussian function, and the values of peripheral pixels. The filter coefficient is expressed by F(x, y), and the convolution is expressed by F(x, y)*I(x, y). A reduced Retinex image is then formed of the peripheral average luminance image formed by the convolution, and the reduced image obtained by reducing an original image.
