PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chiral agent for liquid crystal which can apply a high twisting force to a liquid crystalline compound and is excellent in compatibility with the liquid crystalline compound, to provide a liquid crystalline composition containing the chiral agent for liquid crystal, to provide a polymer, to provide a filter for optical recording medium capable of effectively preventing a noise from occurring, and to provide an optical recording medium of a hologram type capable of high-density recording using the filter for optical recording medium. SOLUTION: The chiral agent for liquid crystal comprises a phosphoric amide compound expressed by the following general formula (1). The liquid crystalline composition contains the chiral agent for liquid crystal. In the general formula (1), a binaphtyl structure exhibits an axial chiral of either (R) or (S), and R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>may be equal to each other or different from each other and represent any of hydrogen atom, halogen atom, and alkyl group or else, R<SB>3</SB>and R<SB>4</SB>may be equal to each other or different from each other and represent hydrogen atom, alkyl group or else.
