PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching mechanism in which downsizing of the length dimension of a direction perpendicular to a rotation axis of a key top can be achieved, and in which a suitable sense of operation can be obtained. SOLUTION: This is equipped with the key top 40 which is swung around the rotation axis 41 and in which pressure parts 45, 45 are installed at both sides pinching this rotation axis 41. By swinging the key top 41, the pressure part 45 on a downward side reverses a reverse plate 86 of a switch opposite to this, and turns on the switch. The pressure parts 45, 45 are set at a position mutually separating away in the rotation axis 41 direction from the opposite position perpendicular to the rotation axis 41.
