PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel where a fixing part is hardly broken, regarding a reel on which a recording tape such as a magnetic tape used mainly as a recording/reproducing medium for a computer or the like is wound. SOLUTION: In a fixing part 63 for fixing a reel plate 72 to a reel hub 62, a relation between the thickness T(mm) of a pressing part 63A and the thickness t(mm) of the base part of the pressing part 63A is set to satisfy 0.5≤t/T≤1. Thus, the fixing part 63 is formed into a shape where cracks hardly occurs, or a shape where the fixing part 63 is hardly broken even when cracks occur. Since the fixing part 63 has the shape where it is hardly broken, the problem of destruction of the base part of the pressing part 63A possibly caused by the mixing of reinforcing agents such as glass fibers in the reel hub 62 is solved, and rigidity of the reel hub 62 is improved. Moreover, since the fixing part 63 is made to be hardly broken, the fixing part is hardly deformed with respect to winding force when a recording tape is wound around the reel hub 62.
