PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting simulation method and an image composition method generating a composite image with improved texture. SOLUTION: An actual space information setting support part 10 inputs the shape and a lighting condition of an actual space, projects the lighting condition to the shape of the actual space, performs approximate calculation of surface attributes to use them as information showing a model of the actual space, and inputs the shape, surface attributes and the like of a virtual object to form a virtual object model. A lighting simulation part 30 performs lighting simulation to output a difference of illuminance of the actual space and illuminance and the like of the virtual object. A display control part 40 corrects illuminance of a background image and combines an image of the virtual object generated by a virtual object image generation part 43 to display it on a display part 50.
