PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens driving device capable of shortening time to converge vibration of a lens support when the lens support stops and capable of preventing spring damage caused by external shock, and to provide a camera device. SOLUTION: In the lens driving device 1, a yoke 11 is fixed to a frame 15 in firm contact with it. The lens support 5 is driven in the direction of the optical axis of a lens 3 by electromagnetic force produced by the supply of power to a coil 7. Thereby, the lens support 5 is held in a predetermined position by a balance between the electromagnetic force and the pressing force of the springs 13a and 13b. The frame 15 and holder 17 have openings 23 and 33 respectively opposite the lens 3. The opening 23 of the frame 15 is closed by a transparent light-receiving-side closing member 25. Thus, a light-receiving-side damper space 39 tightly closed is formed in a space surrounded by the frame 15, light-receiving-side closing member 25, yoke 11, lens support 5 and lens 3.
