PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator comprising a storage compartment capable of realizing a supercooling state. SOLUTION: As this refrigerator comprises a supercooling compartment 4 for storing a stored object at a temperature lower than 0°C by indirect cooling, and a temperature sensor 30 detecting a temperature of the stored object stored in the supercooling compartment 4 or a temperature in the supercooling compartment, and detecting the release of supercooling of the stored object, and the food can be stored in the supercooling state in the supercooling compartment 4.
