A nozzle adapter for a vacuum cleaner and a vacuum cleaner having the same are provided to be engaged with an extension pipe through first and second clamping units whose inner diameter gets wider and whose outer diameter gets narrower. A nozzle adapter(600) for a vacuum cleaner comprises first and second clamping units(610,620). The first clamping unit is inserted into the distal end of an extension pipe(320). The second clamping unit is fitted into a clamping pipe(210) of a suction nozzle. The inner diameters of the first and second clamping units increase as going to the distal end. The outer diameters of the first and second diameter decrease as going to the distal end.
