<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery capable of suppressing increase of the thickness of the battery, and of improving a cycle characteristic and a storage characteristic. <P>SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery is characterized by comprising processes of: preparing slurry by mixing, in N-methylpyrrolidone, a positive electrode active material, a conductive agent, and polyvinylidene-fluoride; applying the slurry to a collector and drying it to form a dried positive electrode plate having a positive electrode active material layer; rolling the dried positive electrode plate; and heat-treating the dried positive electrode plate after rolling for one or more hours in an air atmosphere and in a temperature range of Tm-30≤T≤Tm+20 (Tm is a melting point of polyvinylidene-fluoride in a positive electrode active material phase after rolling). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
