IMAGE TRANSFER DEVICE, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, IMAGE TRANSFER METHOD AND DEFLECTION GENERATING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image transfer device for transferring an image carried on an image carrier device through an endless belt device while transferring it at a first transfer nip position and a second transfer nip position, wherein fluctuation in torque of the endless belt generated at either transfer nip position is effectively prevented from influencing the other transfer nip position without increasing size and weight or without causing cost rise.

SOLUTION: The endless belt 30 of the endless belt device 300 is turned between rollers 31/32 and the endless belt is individually driven at the first transfer nip n1 position formed by the endless belt device 300 and an intermediate transfer device (image carrier device) 200 and the second transfer nip n2 position formed by the endless belt device 300 and a secondary transfer device 400 by drive sources 34/35 so as to generate deflection (t) between the first transfer nip n1 position and the second transfer nip n2 position.
