<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character recognition device and a character recognition system, for correcting a character which is likely to cause a reading error, and providing reliable statistic data. <P>SOLUTION: The character recognition device for reading and recognizing a plurality of characters described in a predetermined area in a form having the predetermined area comprises a y-coordinate acquisition part for acquiring, in the predetermined area, a plurality of y-coordinates showing the respective lower side positions of a plurality of characters described in the same line as first y-coordinates; a determination part for detecting respective differences in first y-coordinate of the plurality of acquired first y-coordinates and determining whether any one of the detected differences exceeds a predetermined first y-coordinate difference coordinate therefrom; a recognition part for determining, when a difference exceeding the first y-coordinate difference threshold is determined, that the plurality of characters are to be corrected and outputting recognition results of the plurality of characters as characters to be corrected; and an addition processing part for adding, in association with each outputted character to be corrected, flag information showing that the character concerned is to be corrected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
