<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide portable terminal equipment capable of easily attaining a multi-monitor having desired size and layout by combining two or more pieces of portable terminal equipment provided with an image display part. <P>SOLUTION: A portable phone terminal 100A has magnetic sensors 171T, B, L and R for detecting that the portable phone terminal 100A is abutted to other portable phone terminal. The portable phone terminal 100 detects the position of the image display part 160 in an image display area A2 formed of the image display part 160 and the image display part 160 of the other portable phone terminal.
