PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely record data in an optical disk at high speed even when a recording error occurs. SOLUTION: When a data recording error is detected in an optical disk, the recording of data is resumed by excluding a predetermined range following the address with the recording error caused and after, a recording area where the data recording is resumed is separated from a recording area including the address with the recording error caused. When the data recording in the optical disk is finished, information indicating the separation of the recording area is recorded in the management area of the optical disk.
