PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve performance in time of associative retrieval of a life log. SOLUTION: This associative retrieval device has: an inference engine 11 inputting a life log Oi configured from a profile specifying action of a user, and retrieving an associated word of a superior concept associated from a profile of the inputted life log Oi by use of an ontology DB 20 storing ontology in each the profile; a subset retrieval part 12 retrieving the life log Oj including the profile having the retrieved associated word as the superior concept by use of a life log DB 30 and the ontology DB 20; and an output means outputting the retrieved life log Oj.
