PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which prevents a signal input to display a reversed screen from being delayed when a normal screen and the inverted screen are displayed in an image display part, and also to provide a method for driving the liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The method for the liquid crystal display device having a plurality of data ICs comprises steps of: outputting data stored in a memory in the opposite order from the input order once a select signal indicating an inverted screen is inputted; sequentially latching the output data from the memory in the plurality of data ICs to drive a plurality of data lines; and sequentially driving a plurality of gate ICs to drive a plurality of gate lines.
