PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide resin particles which are preferably used for automotive bodies, bumpers, side spoilers, and the like, can improve chipping-resistant performance and are used for chipping-resistant coating compositions, to provide a chipping-resistant coating composition containing the resin particles, to provide a chipping-resistant coating film, and to provide a coated article having a chipping-resistant coating film. SOLUTION: The resin particles for the chipping-resistant coating compositions are characterized by having a Young modulus of 100 to 2,000 N/mm<SP>2</SP>, an elongation of 20 to 200%, and breaking strength of 15 to 70 N/mm<SP>2</SP>. The chipping-resistant coating composition is characterized by containing the resin particles for the chipping-resistant coating compositions. The chipping-resistant coating film is characterized by solidifying the chipping-resistant coating composition. The coated article is characterized by having the chipping-resistant coating film.
