METAL COMPLEX, LIGHT-EMITTING ELEMENT AND DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal complex used as a compound for a new organic EL (electroluminescent) device and to provide an organic light-emitting element using the metal complex and having an optical output of high luminance with high efficiency. SOLUTION: The new metal complex has a structure in which a nitrogen atom on a 6- to an 8-membered ring non-aromatic ring group is bonded to a metal atom. The organic light-emitting element has at least a pair of electrodes composed of an anode and a cathode and a layer composed of an organic compound sandwiched between the pair of electrodes. In the organic light-emitting element, the layer composed of the organic compound contains the metal complex represented by structural formula of the figure. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
