PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens shape measuring method capable of measuring easily the lens shape of a dummy lens by a simple work, and to provide a lens contour enhancer therefor. SOLUTION: In this lens shape measuring method of the dummy lens that uses a lens shape measuring device for imaging the dummy lens by a camera, and performing image processing of the imaged lens image, to thereby acquire its lens shape (lens outer shape), the edge of the dummy lens is covered with a band member, formed from an annular thin elastic coat having reduced light transmission property, and having a circumferential length smaller than the circumferential length of the dummy lens and a width larger than the edge thickness of the dummy lens, and emphasizes the dummy lens contour.
