PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating cooker capable of performing steam cooking delectably in a short time and exerting superior cooking performance even in simultaneous cooking with high frequency heating. SOLUTION: This heating cooker comprises a steam generating nozzle 5 injecting steam into a heating chamber 1, a steam cooker 6 disposed in the heating chamber and performing steam cooking, and a steam intake port 6d formed on a part of the steam cooker for taking the steam therein, and the steam supplied from the steam generating nozzle 5 into the heating chamber is injected toward the steam intake port 6d of the steam cooker 6. As the steam is filled in the steam cooker of a capacity smaller than that of the heating chamber, the steam cooking can be finished delectably in a short time, superior cooking performance can be kept even in simultaneous cooking with frequency heating, and the residual water can be reduced in comparison with a case when the steam is filled in the whole heating chamber.
