PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new structure vibration isolation device extremely effectively preventing intrusion of foreign matter into a storage space without requiring a special member and a treatment process and stably showing surging inhibition effect of a main body rubber elastic body in vibration isolation devices inhibiting drop of vibration isolation characteristics caused by surging of a main body rubber elastic body based on striking action of an independent mass member onto a cylindrical housing member by fixing the cylindrical mass member storing the independent mass member on the main body rubber elastic body. SOLUTION: A cover body 48 is assembled to an opening part 58 of a housing body 46 and an outer circumference surface 50 of the housing body 46 is vulcanization-bonded on the main body rubber elastic body 16, and an abutment part of the housing body 46 and the cover body 48 is sealed by the main body rubber elastic body 16.
