PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating film-depositing method which forms a coating film which is excellent in contamination resistance, climate resistance, warm-water resistance and frost-damage resistance, and has the capability to wash itself. SOLUTION: The coating film-depositing method is provided with: the step of coating an inorganic base material with (A) undercoating paint and/or (B) intermediate coating paint to form a coating film; and the step of applying (C) paint whose binding agent is a polysiloxane solution, as top coating paint, to the coating film concerned to form a top coating film. In this case, the polysiloxane solution is obtained by adding 250-500,000 mass parts of (iii) water and/or an organic solvent, as a diluent, to 100 mass parts of a silica-containing condensation product which is obtained by the hydrolysis and condensation of 100 mass parts of (i) a tetraalcoxysilane or its partially hydrolyzed condensation product and 10-500 mass parts of (ii) colloidal silica, the tetraalcoxysilane being represented by (i) the following formula (1); Si(OR<SP>1</SP>)<SB>x</SB>(OR<SP>2</SP>)<SB>(4-x)</SB>(1) (wherein R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>each represent 1-8C organic groups, and x represents an integer of 0-4).
